Team Naturespace gathers neighbors, friends, and visitors to care for The Retreat at Gregory Ridge — a living ourdoor classroom and botanical garden where edible native plants restore soil, attract pollinators, and bring people together. Each volunteer day blends gentle forest upkeep, story share-outs, and community spirit. Whether you stay for an hour or an afternoon, you’ll leave grounded and energized, knowing your effort directly improved a public greenspace shared by all.

Now you can wear your love for nature on your sleeve. This year, we invite everyone on Team Naturespace to prepare to wear their Team Naturespace threads when volunteering at this urban food forest trail project.

volunteer events in 2026

In spring of 2026 we will list our volunteer events on ServeKC's Meetup page.

You can also just tell us how you typically like to volunteer for a nonprofit, and we'll send you an invitation to talk about your volunteering idea.

TELL US YOUR WAY OF VOLUNTEERING

There are plenty of other ways you can volunteer. Let's discuss what that might look like. We're always open to discussing possibilities.

Please start by sharing with us the other ways that you like to volunteer in this form. We'll be in touch shortly.

Please tell us about what you've liked doing before for other helping efforts, or what you'd be willing to do "pro bono" (for free) for a limited time when it's needed at Clement Waters.

Our work through Groundswell Growth makes reciprocity an asset.

The multiplying difference:

It's healing to feel thankful so greatly that you want to give what you can of what you have. That's the way healthy communities roll.

Sharing is healing for community changemakers, and healing for you. And this "giving-back and getting-boosted" 2-way street runs all year.

Be a blessing to others, and discover unexpected returns that thrive and grow outside of the monetary value system.
