About the event

We're sharing a meal so that we can get to know each other, divide up any remaining tasks, team up for future preparations, and learn each other's strengths. The first annual Trail of Mending will only be as large and effective as we can help it to be this year. Given the slow start, we will need to stick by each other with sympathetic and forgiving hearts for the multi-day demonstration to be as meaningful for people as we hope it will be.

Why are we holding a "Trail of Mending?" We believe that everyone's histories are important, not just the ones that made it into the history books. This demonstration establishes for Kansas City the fact that those of us who have lived alternative versions of history, who have been hurt by them, are still here. We are ready to attract the spotlight as we highlight places across Kansas…
