The Rooted Path: Autumn Nature Therapy at Lakeside Nature Center

Come spend an autumn evening experiencing one of Kansas City’s loveliest forests at a pace that calms your spirit.

The wooded landscape around Lakeside Nature Center offers shaded trails, exposed rock, creek crossings, and the rolling terrain of Swope Park, within a close drive of anywhere in Kansas City. During this two-hour session of The Rooted Path, we will slow ourselves down considerably and give our attention room to settle into the intriguing places around us.

What to expect

Your guide will offer activity options to invoke your senses to notice what around you is notable to you. The Rooted Path is Clement Waters’ guided Nature Immersion Therapy experience.

The guide's voice tells you options for activity, but two powerhouse presences give you everything you need for this experience: the sanctuary itself, and your own experience and background. Bring who you are, and share only what you're compelled to share.
