About the event
What many of us grew up knowing as just "the way Grandma did things" is now being called by scientists "bio-intensive spacing," "companion planting," and even "Indigenous land management." Let's look at new levels of respect being afforded our predecessors as we share seeds, stories, and growing methods we remember from our childhoods.
We are sharing harvests and knowledge at this last of two harvest-sharing events in the 2023 growing season.
Clement Waters co-founder Joy Ellsworth will share what she learned from her parents and grandparents about "Indigenous land management" before she worked on agricultural reform efforts and learned about Permaculture (a re-brand of Indigenous methods). Your surprise expertise will be much appreciated as well. Come share what you learned long ago.
